The inaugural charter flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Dunhuang, a county-level city in Jiuquan, Gansu province, landed at Dunhuang Mogao International Airport on the night of Aug 29, marking the official launch of the new route operated by Batik Air (formerly known as Malindo Air).
The Dunhuang Mogao International Airport in Dunhuang city, Gansu province, opened several new flight routes, including Changchun-Xi'an-Dunhuang, Hangzhou-Dunhuang, and Chongqing-Dunhuang on July 1.
China successfully carried out a zero-altitude escape flight test of its new Mengzhou manned spacecraft on Tuesday at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China, marking the first such test in 27 years.
