The "Enduring Heritage, Shared Beauty for All" Dialogue on China-ASEAN Cultural Heritage was held on July 2 in Dunhuang, a county-level city in Jiuquan, Gansu province. Around 150 representatives from China, ASEAN countries, and international organizations attended to discuss the preservation and innovative development of cultural heritage.
Utilizing the Silk Road's cultural resources, the event offered a platform for countries to collaborate on preserving cultural treasures and sharing developmental experiences, fostering a closer China-ASEAN community.
The event included keynote speeches, case sharing, and roundtable discussions. Participants explored the Silk Road spirit, sustainable heritage development, intellectual property protection, cultural innovation, and international communication, highlighting opportunities for mutual learning in scientific protection of relics and the preservation of living heritage between China and ASEAN.
The event's IP character was unveiled, co-designed by the Gansu government, China International Publishing Center, and School of Animation and Digital Arts at Communication University of China. The logo merges Eastern philosophy with modern expression to symbolize a shared vision of enduring cultural heritage.
From July 2 to 5, a study tour will invite young scholars, international students, media, and influencers from both sides to explore Dunhuang's cultural institutions and enterprises, providing insights into cultural heritage preservation and promoting cultural exchange and regional cooperation.
