As spring planting kicks off across Jiuquan in Gansu province, the region is leveraging technology to boost agricultural productivity. Intelligent machinery, smart agriculture platforms, and professional technological guidance are driving the spring farming season.

In Xinmin village, Jinta county, Beidou-guided intelligent seeders smoothly navigate wheat fields, leaving precise tracks. This marks a shift from experience-based to data-driven farming, reflecting a qualitative leap in the county's agricultural machinery.

At Jinta county's agricultural technology center, the intelligent seedling base is fully equipped with smart production tools, enabling scientific seedling cultivation. According to Zhang Xuekai, deputy director of the center, precise control of temperature and humidity has strengthened seedlings, shortened recovery periods, and accelerated growth, thereby increasing economic returns.

A digital agriculture system allows real-time monitoring of conditions via smartphones, while remote operations such as curtain rolling, ventilation, and heating help ensure healthy seedling growth.

In Yumen, agricultural experts visit villages to deliver the latest planting techniques directly to farmers. To address challenges like fluctuating spring temperatures and high humidity, they offer tailored guidance to each plantation.

Subei county has also begun spring sowing, with farmers planting wheat, potatoes, and onions based on soil moisture and weather conditions. The county has deployed technicians to guide farmers in scientific land preparation and precise seeding, optimizing planting plans and delivering practical tech support directly to the fields.
