Yardang geopark celebrated in China's cinematic milestone year

At the remote edge of the Gansu-Xinjiang border lies Dunhuang Yardang National Geopark, a landscape known as the "devil city". Its jagged, wind-carved formations stretch across the desert like the set of a sci-fi epic.

This year, as China marks 120 years of cinema, Yardang's surreal beauty stands out. Featured in the acclaimed film My People, My Country, the geopark has cemented its place as one of China's most cinematic backdrops, drawing visitors and filmmakers alike to its haunting landscapes.
