Gansu's first integrated transportation and tourism project, the Xuanquan Posthouse World Cultural Heritage Site, developed by the Gansu Provincial Transport Construction Group, is scheduled to open in May.

Located in Tianshuijing, Mogao town, Dunhuang, the site is a key part of the "Symphony Silk Road Route No 1", under Gansu's national pilot program for building a strong transportation network. It lies approximately 60 kilometers from Guazhou county and 64 km from downtown Dunhuang.

The site integrates highway services with cultural exhibition functions, merging the ancient postal relay station with modern service area concepts. Its core attractions include the Xuanquan Posthouse site, Xuanquan Spring, and related facilities.

Xuanquan Street Market serves highway travelers and tourists, offering public amenities and distinctive commercial features such as the Sogdian Market.

A full-scale (1:1) reconstruction of the Xuanquan Posthouse recreates the appearance of a thousand-year-old postal station.

The Exhibition Center, themed "Millennium on the Silk Road: Witness of Xuanquan", uses immersive theatrical-style displays to guide visitors through the historical site. Historically known by many names, Xuanquan Spring emerges from the side of a cliff, forming a distinctive natural and cultural landmark.
