Amidst the boundless Gobi Desert, 20 kilometers south of Guazhou county, Jiuquan city of Gansu province, a monumental sculpture titled "The Son of the Earth" nestles serenely in the embrace of the land. Cast in a warm terracotta hue, the colossal sculpture measuring 15 meters in length, 4.3 meters in height, and 9 meters in width, depicts a slumbering infant, harmoniously blending with the vast desert landscape.

This striking contrast between the sleeping infant and the immense expanse of the Gobi creates a powerful visual impact, making the sculpture a new landmark along the Silk Road. Visitors flock to capture this awe-inspiring masterpiece, transforming it into a popular tourist destination.

The Guazhou Gobi International Sculpture Art Park, where the "The Son of the Earth" sculpture resides, emerged from the artist's creative vision during the outdoor sculpture projects. This   sculpture park, independently conceived and realized by the artist and generously funded by an entrepreneur, adheres to a rigorous selection process. All sculptures must undergo a thorough evaluation by the China Sculpture Association and the Tsinghua University Academy of Arts & Design before being granted a place within the park.

In 2020, the park was further enriched with the addition of new large-scale outdoor sculptures: "Gobi Ark," "Emperor Hanwu," and "Wind Whisperer."
