Yangguan, built during the Western Han Dynasty, is the earliest customs center in China. Located 70 kilometers southwest of Dunhuang city in Gansu province, it served as a significant passageway along the Silk Road and a cultural bridge between East and West. Yangguan Scenic Area, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, showcases the grandeur of the Han and Tang dynasties.
The scenic area preserves various relics from the Han Dynasty, such as the Yangguan ruins, towers of beacon and ancient roads.
